Dobcross Youth Band

Many thanks to everyone who has contributed - let's hope that we can have a real Whit Friday in 2021. ... See MoreSee Less

Dobcross Youth Band

Sadly, we can't be together this Whit Friday but we hope as many as possible of our young musicians, their families and friends will join #saddleworthdayofmusic.
This is a great initiative to keep the community spirit of Whit Friday alive on social media. All you have to do on 5 June is to post a short film or link of yourself playing music on Facebook or Twitter (make sure it's public) and use the hashtag #saddleworthdayofmusic. As many as possible will then be shared in the Saddleworth Day of Music group on Facebook. It doesn't have to be brass - all instruments are welcome including the human voice.
The day will start at 9am with #hailshiningmorn then anything goes.
