Congratulations to our principal cornet Amy Naylor, who showed her talent and versatility by being chosen as principal flugelhorn at the recent National Children’s Brass Band residential course.
It’s a highly competitive programme and Amy has done brilliantly to audition successfully several times. As well as enjoying the top class playing and expert tutoring at the course, she has also been involved in mentoring some of the younger students this year.
She said: “I really enjoyed my week at National Children’s Brass Band this summer. The tutors were really helpful and friendly and it was great to meet fantastic brass players from all over the country”
